Micro-Vett e500 electric from NICE (22/07/2008)

Europe's Car of the Year combined with an advanced electric drive system.  Produced to order in Italy by Micro-Vett, the Fiat e500 is now available to order.  It will be produced in very limited numbers with prices expected to be from £750pcm on lease purchase or £25,000 upwards to purchase outright.

Powered by its lithium-ion batteries, the e500 will have a maximum speed of 60mph and a range of up to 75miles and comes complete with a 2 year warranty.

There are other benefits too:

  • Congestion charge exempt in central London
  • Zero emissions, so free from road tax
  • Zero emissions, so no CO2 and no air quality pollutants like soot or oxides of nitrogen
  • Eligible for parking concessions in forward thinking boroughs like Westminster in central London.
  • An increase in the number of electric re-charging points. More will come throughout the UK, as well as central London.
  • Never having to visit a petrol forecourt again!
