Astra 1.6 SXI Dual Fuel LPG
– Congestion Charge Exempt
2003 - 120,000
Astra 1.6 SXI Dual Fuel LPG –
2003 (03 Reg)
Fully congestion charge exempt saving over £2000 a year –
this car will pay for itself in no time. Its current
exception certificate runs out in June and then it costs
just £10 a year to renew. I have owned this car for almost
3 years and have been very pleased.
It happily returns 250-270 miles on one tank of LPG (based
on my typical mix of central London and Motorway driving).
That equates to approx. 60MPG at normal petrol prices.
1.6 16v engine is very economical and gets from 0-60 in 10.5
seconds. Being a Vauxhall factory fitted LPG model it is
taxed as an alternative fuel vehicle and also benefits from
low insurance too (group 5).

For those of you new to LPG it basically halves the cost of
your fuel bills. The only additional servicing required is
a couple of gas filters that need to be changed every year
or so. Last year I had a serious LPG overhaul carried out
(done by Herts Autogas) which included 4x new injectors so
it runs on LPG like a dream.
Reason for sale needed larger 4/5 door car. I will be sorry
to see her go.
Car located in Bishops Stortford evenings and weekends I
drive to Lambeth, London SE1 daily if you would prefer
mid-week daytime viewing.
